I know most genuine reality shows are fixed/scripted somewhat, but this show was CLEARLY being ‘played’ by (bad) actors. I’m shocked so many people believe that Squid Game: The Challenge was in any way a real reality show. Were the viewers supposed to know it was real? Why didn't they make it clear? It would have been so much more interesting. Was it predetermined that they would win, or were the 456 players actually competing for it?ĭid the players know they were competing for a real $4.56 million prize? Did they think they would die if eliminated? Is their name in real life? Did they really win $4.56 million? But for example, here are some things I'm wondering: Of course, there's a lot of room between purely scripted and pure reality. So I'm uld this thing be for real? Not "The Blair Witch Project" real, but.real real. And I thought it was cool of them to maintain the illusion.īut more and more clues came in, and I can't find any confirmation that the show is scripted. And then I found that "Trey" wrote some comments about the show, speaking in character. Until yesterday, it never occurred to me that it might not be a scripted drama, but an actual reality show.īut then I googled Ashley (did everyone really forget that she didn't jump?) and found people talking about her as if she were a real person. I've been watching this show with some interest (although at first I thought it was Squid Game season 2, and I was disappointed not to see Seong Gi-hun).
